9.22.10 - 9.24.10 Week 5

In your book, what are some of the ways that your character(s) expresses themselves through their emotions? How do they show love? Anger? Hate? Why is this important to you as a reader?
 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In my book Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment, my character (Max) shows herself through her emotions by always being tough, strong, and trys to handle everything on her own. She shows her love by guiding and caring for her flock (family). She expresses anger through in a way of feeling betrayed by her former father type figure in her life. Hate is a expressed feeling through her as hate for the school(the place where she was experimented on since a young child). It is very important to me because, I want to feel my characters emotions, think my characters thoughs, and actually feel like I'm my own character in the book I am reading. I believe my author (James Patterson) has gave me thier thoughts, thier emotions, and has made feel apart of the story.

  1. Bryan, you have obviously given this response some thought. You name many feelings Max expresses and you give a great expanation of HOW she SHOWS her love for her family. An example sentence would be helpful to see how she guides her flock. Feeling betrayed and angry are 2 feelings - how does she SHOW them, as well as HATE? Look for the sentence that SHOWS this. I appreciate your thoughtfulness in explaining how important it is that your author help you feel what the characters feel. If you need a peer example of using book evidence, check out sergio's blog.

Remember to do #5,6,and 7 from the checklist.
